preview


This is the preview of the start of the video, as this is the first frame for the fly through.

Camera Line


The camera line in! now i just need to render the fly through, oh and i have added some plants, not as many as i would like but there are a few and i have added some street lights too.

Ray Tracer


After having problems rendering the mentleray texture on the plane for my water i have gone with a raytracer texture, this doesn't have a texture of water on it but it does have reflections which suggests still water.

Im having problems rendering the level now, so here is a screen shot, where you can see i have added the water, and sunlight. Also there is now some plants in, need to add more though.

bridge in level


Here is an image of the bridge in the level i am going to rotate the bridge and have it on the other side as well as the side it is currently on, so that is a complete broken bridge instead of half a broken bridge

3d research


Over the weekend i have been researching into what would be best to make my 3d level in and what my computer can hack for rendering. i have looked into carrara, 3d s max, vue8 and unreal.

I need to produce more development before narrowing down which one i should be using. i did a quick seen with trees and grass plants as that produced a lot of ploys, which made it possible to see how many ploys my computer can handle. i tried at 45 million ploys and my computer was fine, so i think it will be ok to produce something on that scale on carra, 3d s max and vue 8.

Ideas and development

I have produced a brain storm and started producing some quick steckes. I have came to pretty ruins of a temple of something in a jungle, or some less pretty ones of a apocalyptic disaster.

I have thought that i could do the greenhouse effect as an apocalyptic disaster, could be like a warning ti people. But im not sure if its too serious as a game.

Started research

Today i have looked into ruins to see what these places look like, how the plants have overgrown them and the way they have been weather. I also looked into what the different places histories where, so that i can understand the placement and surrounds of the buildings and the use for them.
